Follow these instructions to collect your DNA sample.
Note: For the best results, do not eat, drink, chew gum, or smoke for 30 minutes before collecting your DNA sample.
Activate your kit online. Do not skip this step. Activation is required to receive your results. Visit: www.myheritageDNA.com/setup
Open the testing kit and place the unopened swab and tube on a clean surface.
Remove the swab from its packaging. Rub the tip against the inside of one cheek for 60 seconds while rotating the swab.
Open the tube and insert the swab with the sample end facing down. Once the swab reaches the bottom, snap the stick against the inner edge of the tube at the marked black line, leaving the swab end in the liquid.
Securely close the tube cap.
Place the sealed tube on the cotton pad inside the clear plastic bag and close the zip seal. Place the bag containing the tube in the enclosed pre-addressed envelope and seal it.

First, visit the website MyHeritage, create an account, and order a DNA kit. These instructions do not apply to Serbia because the kit cannot be ordered or shipped from Serbia.
Once your kit arrives, make sure to activate it through your account.
It is best to have someone bring you the kit from abroad. You can register on the MyHeritage website and activate the DNA kit while you are in Serbia.
After collecting your DNA sample according to the instructions, do not send it from Serbia.
Give it to someone travelling abroad so they can mail it from there. The Serbian postal service does not accept this type of shipment, and even if a post office accepts it, customs may return it.
If you do not know anyone abroad who will soon be coming to Serbia, or anyone travelling from Serbia, contact us. We will find a solution and assist you.
The kit usually arrives within 15 days, depending on the country and delivery address.
The results may take up to approximately two months. Once they are ready, you will receive a notification at the email address you used when registering.
When you receive an email notifying you that your results are available, download them and save them to your computer. You can also upload the results to other similar DNA data analysis platforms.
